About the event
During the 1860's, Allentown, New Jersey, was a stop on the Underground Railroad.
Local historian, John Fabbiano, tells the amazing story during a 90 minute walking tour, They Came For Freedom. You learn about historic homes, shops, cemeteries and landmarks which played a part in helping escaped slaves from The South reach freedom in The North.
Total Time: Approx 90 min
Cost: $10.00 pp, due onsite, benefits the Allentown Village Initiative, a volunteer organization dedicated to helping Allentown achieve its potential.
