Welcome to America 250! In 2026, we celebrate our nation's 250th Anniversary with a series of short films narrated by historians, professors, and elected officials exploring the origins of American ideals.
In this session, we learn about the Continental Congress's authorization to create the Navy, and US Naval Secretary John Phelan discusses the practice of privateering and key naval battles.
We'll also learn about FDR leading the US into WWII after the December 7, 1941 attack on the US Pacific Fleet, through re-enactments, historical footage, and historian commentary.
