About the event

This Great Courses series presented by Prof. Edward T. O'Donnell delivers a fresh and unique look at American history. Engage in discussion and trivia during this virtual program.

We conclude the series with two major turning points in recent history. The collapse of the Soviet bloc, starting with East Germany in 1989, ended the cold war and left America as the world's only superpower.

The terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 led to a dramatic increase in national security measures and involvement in two major wars.

Day in history trivia & discussion.
