Thoughts on passion

These past few months have gotten me thinking about the direction one takes in life. My conclusion: it all boils down to passion.

I've always had a love for all things space. In a college seminar, I witnessed a space shuttle tile ignite without burning your hands. That was it. My decision was made. Ceramic Engineering! Journey #1

Along the way, one of my favorite moments was meeting John Glenn in 1998. A chance meeting in a hotel hallway-moments before him announcing a return to space.

Fast forward almost 2 decades later, watching Gene Cernan recount his experiences as an astronaut, he said,

You've got to have passion, a love for what you are doing or you shouldn't be doing it.
